First it's the Bible and now Old Glory. We're being invaded and don't know it.

Let's stop and think about this together. During the 2004 election, Republicans thoughtfully added an anti-flag-burning amendment as a goal for the nation to their planks. A few muttered that it might be counter to the first amendment, but right on national TV they were swept aside by caucus Republicans. The Republican party has stated very clearly where it stands on this matter.

And yet when schools outright ban the flag, which elected and senior RNC Republicans come to its rescue then? I'd like to see Mehlman come out and say that every American youth has a right to protest the Latino mob by flying Old Glory wherever they damned well please.

Right now I'm hearing nothing.

The silence is deafening, isn't it.
