To tell you the truth, I don't have a problem with saying whatever it takes to stay alive. She's not a trained soldier, after all, just a civilian. Nevertheless, she said some things that she either wrote outright or hinted at in some of her other writings. Maybe more vehement, or flowery in the interview.
But even beyond that, there is too much about this case that just doesn't seem to track right. Other hostages showed visible signs of their captivity: they were gaunt, their clothing was tattered, some of them had bruises, and so on. She looked like she'd just stepped out of a day spa.
And then there were all the deadlines--which passed, and passed, and yet, here she is, head still attached. Everyone who was a real hostage suffered horrible fates, unless we rescued them.
So now she's said she didn't mean any of it. Well, I hope that's true.
But I remain skeptical. We'll see what happens in the weeks to come, what kind of articles she writes, what she says in future interviews.
e! Wow! You are the one person who understands what I've been trying to say!
If I were her, and on camera immediately after release, I'd have no fear..I'd tear that dang rag off my head! Did she do that? NO!
Because its collusion! Some in forum have led me to see another angle..but it just aint there!
She was treated just fine..because she is apologists!
