You are correct. The stole it from the Spanish(Cortez conqured the Aztex),who in turn stole it from the native americans.The aztex(mexican descendants) didnt live this far north. Spain was the country that moved north, mexico just stole it from them.Mexico attacked Texas,got their ass kicked, lost their capital city,and has to agree to terms.This is US land and always will be and people will go to war over this if they try an insurrection. The fact that connection is very seldom made is a source of continual amazement to me. Every present-day nation in the world resulted from someone stealing that land from its'original inhabitants.
