If there were no immigration laws then there were no illegals here at that time.

They neglected Mexico while they "were building the US."

Do not respond to his posts.

"Dane is one big personal attack.
I don't know how he and his ilk are tolerated here at FR."
Got to have a few of them around for the humor aspect.

I suspect that the standard economic argument for illegal immigrants isn't the real motivation behind letting these people flow into the country in large numbers. My guess is that the guy who runs across the border from Mexico is allowed to stay here not because he represents a source of cheap labor, but because he represents a new customer for countless numbers of businesses here in the U.S.

"You trolls are so transparent."
That reminds me of the saying: People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

The politicians in both parties are going to pay the price for cowtowing to what they think is the Latino vote. Any person who has entered the country legally is not swayed by these illegals. The only place in the country that the illegals might be able to vote is California.

If you can't reason and answer maybe you shouldn't be posting. Seems you think but not without reason and clarity. If you won't answer then quit responding to my post. Be careful with your wishes Jim. 2 nights ago Wardaddy wished the same thing on me, except his best buddy, travis decided to attack Tony Snow.
Tony Snow offered an open invitation to to travis, but travis chickened out, like you just did you with your above, IMO.

Fine, I don't suppose you'll be opposed to paying my property taxes for me. Ten years ago, they amounted to 2 weeks' income. Without changing jobs, today the taxes are taking nearly 2 MONTHS of our pay. Thanks to illegals, the school district has had to more than double the campuses and the free lunch program has gone through the roof. The county is building new roads to keep up with the influx of illegals. Housing is 4 times what it was. One hospital had to close it's doors and another had to sell out to a large corp.... need I go on?

Do you have any sense at all?
Can you not see that those "cheap" tomatoes picked by the illegal alien hordes who put a terrific strain on our schools, hospitals, and public infrastructure cost us a HELLUVA lot more than the price we pay for it at the supermarket? You are not that dense, are you? Please tell me you are not.

What is evil is knowingly lying about the true cost to the taxaper by assuring us that illegals are GREAT because they allow us to buy "cheap" tomoatoes.

We know for certain that no illegals helped build WalMart, this hated bastion of Unionists and their Democrat supporters.
We all know of WalMart raids by the INS (Immigration and Naturalization)to ascertain a illegal free and law abiding WalMart environment with unbiased (so they claimed) compliance raids.
The INS even went to the extent to punish Wal Mart for subcontractors doing cleaning work.
Thorough, thorough, but selectively administered, but denied, by the Feds.
Heres's another fine INS point: a news release that the INS no longer will conduct compliance raids of illegals employed by businesses.
But, where are the numbers of INS "on board" direct staff/support reductions hired to raid businesses?
Taxpayers deserve an answer.

And who is ultimately in charge of the INS?
Isn't that an appointed position? Who makes the appointment.
Where did Harry Truman say that the buck stopped?
