I get this feeling that this is not a good blueprint for a "religion of peace".

Anyone who thought that Islam was a "religion of peace" probably would also favor letting some Arab country run our ports or let "guest workers" in our country or give illegal aliens amnesty. They also would know nothing about Islam.
