McFadyen switched attorneys Wednesday afternoon. His current lawyer, Glen Bachman, said it would be inappropriate to comment on the investigation at this point, and said there are now concerns about his client's safety.
He was in the "group" that was sharing attorneys.
He obviously needs one of his OWN now.......LOL.
I think the others would not want to be associated with him- no matter how the email was meant, it has slightly damaged the players' case, especially to the public/potential jury. There will be few 20 year old college student who are going to get that sort of "humor" and it takes away from a character defense (i.e. these sweet, dean's list players' couldn't have possibly...).
This makes the presence or lack thereof of physical evidence all that more important to the defense, IMO.
Totally out of the blue: perhaps the other stripper beat her? It's not uncommon in domestic violence cases for the batterer to drive the battered to the hospital and while both attribute the bruises and cuts to a fall or some mysterious stranger.
Supposedly the strippers didn't know each other prior to this incident, why would she cover for another stripper? I could see if they planned on setting the team up and the other stripper beat her up to make it look it they did it, however.
Maybe she didn't want it known what she's doing for work?
This is unfair for you to post these pictures. The boys are reported to have used alias and called each other by number to confuse the "dancers." Even the captain admits in the police document that he hired her using a "fake" name Adam, not Dan. It is not fair for you to post these pictures. The accused players have not been publically identified.
Just because she's a crook, it doesn't mean she wasn't raped...however, I'd have a hard time believing anything she says.
She doesn't sound like quite the "novice" she made herself out to be in her News & Observer article, though, does she?
Thanks, I had forgotten about that.
The guy still creeps me out though.
Nope! I have pretty mixed feelings about this. It's a shame that a true rape victim may decide not to bother to report it because she has a shady background. But I don't trust criminals.
This case is really starting to smell
It sure is.
And now we've got high school kids out in the street saying their COACH made racial slurs to them.
And the press is there.
We're gonna have a race war right here in the Triangle.
I just cant believe MSM isnt covering any of this! These are very important facts.
I wonder if the players thought they were paying for sex and were really mad that they didn't get it.
A link would have much better.
Whoa. So she's been a stripper for at least five years then (in between pregnancies, I guess).
Somebody on another board was calling out Rush Limbaugh for calling her a "ho". Rush later apologized for it but, as usual, even when Rush is wrong, he turns out to be right.
I cited the RN&O story about her working for an escort service and that changed the talking points considerably.
Not that anything justifies rape. And if she was beaten, strangled, etc., that is unforgiveable too. But wouldn't it be rather obvious if somebody was beaten, kicked, strangled by three athletes? It wouldn't be "he said, she said".
When you get down to it, one group or the other is lying, big time. Who do you believe - a 27-year-old stripper/escort or a bunch of drunken college kids? Not sure I'd want to bet the farm on either telling the truth.
She stole a customer's car. It sounds like she also tried to run over the officer (probably acting as an off-duty security guard I am reading between the lines) who went after her.
