That is a sad story but then I remember my late Mother and marvel at what an unbelievably great person God created.

You're fortunate, and I mean that sincerely. My own mother left when I was a baby, but even she had enough of a shred of decency to leave me with my father, who promptly pawned me off on one relative and caregiver after another until I was old enough to be warehoused in a working class boarding school for 12 years. The poor little one in the above news story was just dumped on the sidewalk. In my experience, I've known far more people like my mother and this child's father than like your mother. So as brutal as my first post was, it's an honest assessment of humanity from my point of view.

My experience was just the opposite but I can see where you are coming from. Still, I think the number of good parents is many times greater than bad ones.

I have seen plenty of bad people who were nevertheless good parents.

I don't want to belabor the point but yes, Mother was truly a great person. Her entire life was her Children and Husband. My Sister thinks she was too kind. I know what she means but that is not really possible. She was also beautiful.

This little girl doesn't look like she has been abused. Maybe some story here but any Father who would do that is worse than worthless.

So, you just threw out “honor thy mother and father” and wage war on Genesis and Mosaic Law?

Both your mother and father, as you described, forsook both and now you are at war with it and within yourself as they are/were...
