Death for 'Apostates' and 'Sodomists'
Assyrian News Agency ^ | 3-21-06 | Andrew G. Bostom

Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, the supreme religious authority for Shi’ite Muslims in Iraq and an icon for Shi’a worldwide, has apparently decreed that gays and lesbians should be put to death “in the worst manner possible.” Confirmation of this claim is provided at Sistani’s own official website, specifically this page, item 5, from a question and answer section, which translates:

Q: What is the judgment on sodomy and lesbianism?

A: Forbidden. Those involved in the act should be punished. In fact, sodomites should be killed in the worst manner possible.*

Al-Sistani has been lionized as a moderate healing force in Iraq, worthy of consideration for a Nobel Peace Prize (such informal “nominations” coming from across the political spectrum, i.e., both the New York Times’ Tom Friedman). His frank “ruling” which sanctions the brutal murder of homosexuals, in conjunction with the good Ayatollah’s earlier pronouncements on the debasing uncleanliness of non-Muslims (i.e., his adherence to the orthodox Shi’ite doctrine of najis) might dampen his Nobel prospects—although one can’t be too sure in our moribund contemporary world.

He's a moderate like our leftists are moderates. Although I'm sure the left will agree with his Christian killing policy.

"1 thing with which I agree.
"

Here's a thought: Stay away from my wife's cousin and his partner. I'm a 2nd Amendment believer, too. How's that?

Well there goes their following among our leftists.

You'd certainly think so but the Leftists will turn it around to show how all religion is bad, how we have to understand their "cultural" differences, and then carry on as if nothing had been said because their hatred of George W. Bush is that consuming to them.

I'm sure it was sarcasm, but I agree with you since leftists read these posts as well. Does our side no good when we give them fodder to misquote.

Either way, it shouldn't be posted.

"Maybe we should let this guy invade Massghanistan!"

Another funny would be to leave the last letter "M" off :)

If someone asked me what the bible says about witches, I would answer that the bible says they should be killed.

What?

The word “witches” does not even appear in the bible nor is there even an equivalent. Since witches were associated with the pagan Druids of Europe, I don’t think any one from the old testament of for that matter the apostles had any contact or understanding of them.

There is nothing in the New Testament that compels the killing of anyone, it’s about forgiveness.

Forced to watch re-runs of the "Lucille Ball" and "Leave it to Beaver" show until they go mad.

1 thing with which I agree.

Which is why I don't want your type in charge any more than the ayatollahs. Two sides of the same coin.

But, the word "witch" does appear, twice, in the King James Version, the most popular English translation:

EXODUS 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a WITCH to live.
DEUTERONOMY 18:10 observer of times, or an enchanter, or a WITCH.

I believe that was what the other poster was referring to.

Its known that MoMo was a switch hitter.. A/C-D/C..

He had young boy body slaves.. a shame that the Ayatollah is ignorant of this..
UNLESS hes Not... and is merely trying to guve Islam some moral credence..
Ya think?..

I have nothing against killing witches. As a matter of fact, I can't wait until the Witch Hillary is stoned to death by the peasants she despise.

[that was a joke, for those of you in the media]

You're mistaken. Exodus 22:18 says "You shall not suffer a witch to live". Sometimes "witch" is translated as sorceress. The KJV uses the word "witch".

You're not much of a "defender of the faith" then. Shame on you.

I was thinking of Exodus 22:18 In the version I grew up with it says "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

Now, the attitude in the new testament and Jesus' words are issues I would bring up if I were asked a more in depth question.
