Can the police force press charges on his behalf, or without his consent? It can't be good for their business or morale to have their people roughed up.

Well, I hate to break it to you, but stuff like this happens to cops all the time. I know several of them.

And no, I don't think they can, and they all but certainly won't even if they could. I don't think it's an unreasonable position if she didn't actually hurt the guy, which I doubt she did.

But man, it sure would be fun, wouldn't it?
