I don't know how many thousands of dollars, and how many meetings I have attended. I WAS a card carrying Republican, until three years ago. I got sick of Bush speaking out of both sides of his mouth, and the Republican-led congress givng away the store. My grandchildren have been put more at risk due to their policies, and the burden on them will be intolerable.

Instead of fixing socail security, they give more money for drugs. Instead of abolishing useless and wasteful programs and departments (Energy, Education, etal) Bullshiite. They are not conservative Republicans. They are no different than Democrats, plundering for them =selves and their friends.

Most of those (FReepers) protesting the Bush administration were the same ones that believed the Contract with America. Guess what? It's principles have been flushed, by the RINO's and liars (many of which are one and the same!)!

Well .. I'd argue with you but your facts are sorely lacking. The Contract with America has not been flushed.

Don't be so quick to give up the ship

People forget that it is not just the people at the top that matter. It is also the grunts and paper pushers that matter.

For example consider all the LOWER level federal judges appointed by Bush.

After 1994 I did think there would be some change. However two things right at the start told me it was a futile hope. A couple weeks after the election the Repub House leadership arranged for a session for newly elected members of the rising Congress. The session began with (and was run by) some sap sucking motivational training company that had the nerve to begin the first day with a nerf ball fight to the tune of something like 'Fight the Power' to underline their 'empowerment message'. Not one of the new members had the stones to stand up at that point and raise pure hell about party funds being pissed away on such nonsense and the profound lack of seriousness it displayed towards what was a deeply serious issue , curbing Satan's Sergeant in the white House and getting rid of some of the d=federal government.

Secondly Gingrich signed a rather unremarkable book deal after the election and also went ahead and announced his legislative priorities for the new session. The rats conducted a choreographed tantrum about the first and went into the hysteria mode about the second under the theme 'Newt's Out of Control'. Gingrich instead of publicly and loudly telling the rats to stuff themselves about the book deal and that he would do every single thing the powers of the Speakership enabled him to do about the latter and that he meant to do damage to the rat turds and looked forward to kicking them in the balls at every opportunity in the next session went into retreat mode, dumped the book deal and tried to 'reach out' to the rat turds. Right then iknew nothing of any real significance would occur and the rats even though they were the minority would terrorize the rino wimps over and over again.
