Actually, Clint, there are 11,000 illegal Irish immigrants in the US. A lot of them live in NY and Boston and other places in the Northeast. That's not the point. How many Irish protested in the streets with their flags when the congress was debating making it a federal crime enter the US illegally?
That answer is none so it's a non sequitur.

Actually, according to the Irish Examiner, there were Irish immigrants demonstrating this past weekend. It doesn't say if they were waving Irish flags, though, so I will concede your point.
The Examiner also says there are 50,000 illegal immigrants in the US so I apologize.

That's not the point. How many Irish protested in the streets with their flags when the congress was debating making it a federal crime enter the US illegally? They don't protest against America
But they do hold up the Irish flag during a parade like St. Patty's day
There is a HUGE different between a Holiday parade and a Protest Rally against the US
But there are some who want people to think they are the same to make their point
