I've read that before...personally, I believe that every immigrant to the United States should have to demonstrate fluency in English before being admitted to this country.

I agree 100%. I am SO sick of hearing spanish everywhere.

Signs in spanish, announcements in stores in spanish, products with spanish all over them, ATM's asking me if I want to do my transaction in spanish (What? This is the U.S.!!!), press one for spanish, etc.

I am very close to having the phrase "Speak English" put on all of my shirts.

Plus an English fluency requirement for legal immigrants would put a pretty clear spotlight on who was here illegally and so needed to leave.
