Aren't Arizonans the most pissed off about illegals crossing into their state constantly? How can it be that McCain can be in support of this bill?
I've got one word for you: incumbancy.
The way the system is set up, it's nearly impossible to mount an effective challange to an incumbant during a primary. And of course, you can't expect the dems to challange him on immigration, since their position is identical.
In some ways, I'd rather have a Dem in McCain's seat than McCain. At least then we'd have a chance of getting rid of him. But when there's a RINO around, we're pretty much stuck with him.
He doesn't have to run again this time.
