Immigration averaged only 235,000 persons per year prior to the disastrous 1965 Immigration Act. That's only 47 million immigrants over the course of our nation's history. Compared to our current population of nearly 300 million, that's not much. BS. Slanderous and spinning statistics. Prior to 1965, 47 million immigrated and prior to 1965, US population was 170 million, NOT 300 MILLION. Or immigrants by your stats were about 1/3.
"1965, US population was 170 million, NOT 300 MILLION. '
Of course, but what the stats are trying to say is that we are approaching a billion total Americans who live now or who have ever lived in this countryall of them, or at least most of them were busy "building" it.
As of 1965 if one were to add the number of immigrants who had lived in the country since its founding, it would only be 47 million. Since 1965, I dont know the added numbers, but suppose immigrates doubled, that still is only less that 10% of those working in this county total throughout history were actually immigrants, the rest were born here, so therefore it is a myth that immigrants built this country, at most they only but 10%.
