Well...in fact, the US Constitution does not provide for an Air Force...so maybe rather than ignore the Constitution's limitations on federal power, we should take advantage of the amendment process...after all every federal elected official takes an oath to adhere to the Constitution...
but for all the lip service we all pay to the Constitution, when confronted with a limitation we don't like, most Americans seem to conclude that strict adherence to its terms is just a silly antiquated notion
