oh well, no compromise and the result no bill. Its is beyond me how people dont see this. Now nothing will occur and the problems will continue to get worse.
We don't need a bill...we have perfectly good laws on the books now...they just don't get enforced...but, if there has to be a bill...let it be like the House bill which puts some teeth into our existing laws rather than gutting it with amnesty and guest worker provisions...what amounts to nothing but a surrender
"oh well, no compromise and the result no bill. Its is beyond me how people dont see this. Now nothing will occur and the problems will continue to get worse."
I tend to agree with you. In reality there is going to have to be some copromise on this isue or we will never get anywhere. I can envision some sort of guest worker program at some future date.
That said, i strongly believe that Job One is to finish building the wall. It doesn't amont to a tinker's Damn how many illegals you return over the border, if they walk half a mile and cross back in, unobstructed.
Frankly, I think it's pathetic that George W. Bush would hold the National Security of the American People hostage to his stinking cheap labor program.
And I'M the one who is supposed to "compromise"????
NO WAY.
Has it entered your head that neither Bush nor the cheap labor lobby actually want the problem solved at all ? They flatly demand a guest worker program. Guest worker is to border control as aviation fuel is to fire fighting.
"compromise---"
that word worked much of of then time when we were a nation with God fearing men leading it and God fearing citizens demanding they do "what was right"---today, any sign of 'compromise' with the small, evil people who are in positions of power (not just politicians) consider a person who will 'compomise' a "weakling" and just roll over them and ask for more--I have been involved in local politics,a school board member and served as a community leader for many years and see it growing worse every year---the selfish, evil individuals always call for a 'compromise' when they cannot win outright, then bastardize the agreement to help them achieve their selfish ends-
We could never pass another bill and the illegal immigration problem could get better if only the executive branch would uphold the law.
