"Agreed, but don't you think Bush knows that too?"
Perhaps.
But he can't be re-elected, so he doesn't have anything to lose.
Also, it's mainly due to the War. If the war were going well, Bush would be a hero across the country with strong public opinion polls and Republicans would be flying high on the national security issue.
But it's not, and they're in the doghouse with the President in the national perception.
In that environment, everything ELSE, like this, is an irritant.
Bush has had the same immigration policies since 2000, but the whole thread turned out to vote for him and his party, with the current policies, in 2004. Because of the War.
The issue is interesting, but it's the War that is costing the Republicans the farm. If something dramatic and positive happens, and it has to happen very soon, then Bush and the Republicans will get a new lease on life.
Otherwise, grimness.
Furthering the NWO is the only goal, and yes, Bush doesn't give a damn if democrats take over the house and/or senate. As a matter of fact, I think the globalists would prefer that. Bill did all he could from his side, Bush did all he could from the other. Now it's the "left's" turn to squeeze us again.
