I fought tooth and nail to keep my wife from spelling my daughter's name, Michelle, with one "L".

I won. We have a unique enough last name that we don't need to have FIRST names we have spell for everyone as well.

After a few years of marriage and the wife having to spell our last name EVERY SINGLE TIME, she understood why I didn't want the kid to be MicheLe.

It's as if 6 years ago all letters of the alphabet other than A, L, I, E, D, S and B disappeared. I can't keep them straight.
