Far from me to define what a "texan" is to a Texan, but as a fellow Southerner, may I remind all that W was born in Connecticut, raised in elite Northeastern schools (where the tuition is more than most of us gross in a year), and is about as much a Texan as I am.
I would love to see those "the hot, dusty ruins." Obviously, the reporter is pissed at being away from home, and shows what a cultural illiterate he is.
