RAS AL KHAIMAH, United Arab Emirates -- There's a vague notion on this tiny satellite campus of George Mason University that basketball is played by bouncing a ball and tossing it toward a hoop. It's also starting to sink in that classmates on the other side of the world have done something remarkable.
"Go, Mason, go," yells 19-year-old Mohamed Eltigani, who was born in Sudan.
"Kun fi al-qimma," campus receptionist Khawla Yousef screams in Arabic, which means "Reach the top." Welcome to the real Mideast regional.

Great point. Opening and operating a satellite in an Arab country is exactly like allowing Arabs to be intimately involved with access to our country.
Great thinking.
your screaming is giving me a headache !
Where's Rush................ he just brought this up.
I am aghast at the complete disregard for the possibility that Al Qaeda sympathizing students might be accessing the records of one of our top universities.
Don't laugh--it could happen. Did you know Osama bin Laden once went to school in London? I'm kind of surprised we're even allowing the U.K. to be an ally in the War on Terror. Who knows how much info the billionaire-child Osama could have bought while he was a "student" in London?
Who is to say the same thing isn't happening at George Mason? It is just not worth the risk.
< \needless panic>
LOL
