Now, having said that just think of what kind of technology will be around twenty years from now. We just don't know.

Well, we could all run around with highly sophisticated government-issue cards that checked a main database that kept track of where people live, work, bank, die, etc. Then an employer could just swipe a card to see if a person is legal or illegal because the all powerful government would know a lot about each and every one of us. They could check on us at any moment, any purchase, any time of day or night they would know what we were doing and how we were doing it.

Problem is, you start doing that and that wall you built to keep people out? Well, all of a sudden it becomes the wall that is keeping people in.

I will say it again. As long as there is opportunity for people in this country, there will be people trying to get in...legally and illegally.

It goes way beyond opportunity in this country. We're passing out benefits of citizenship to those who come here illegally. It goes way beyond the prospect of job opportunities. We have pretty much established a second tier of ILLEGAL citizenship in this country complete with all the rights to social services/benefits that are meant for LEGAL residents and citizens.
Technology could also cut the other way. Fear of a possible future Orwellian police state cannot paralyze us into doing nothing.
We need to secure our borders NOW. Prosecute the scum that are breaking the law and hiring illegals NOW. Deport NOW, start by rounding them up at their protests.
