You have information about some secret war Reagan was waging in which he needed the assistance of the Soviet Union? If not then you did not address the point I made.

It does not take much discernment or knowledge of history to know the dispicable realities of the religion. Nor to understand that the better a Moslem one is the worse person one is. Nor to understand that people born into a religion rarely change it. It should also not be that difficult to find Moslems who pay little or no attention to most of the beliefs any more than it is difficult to find Christians who do no more than pay lip service to their beliefs.

Hence we must split away the fanatical hard core from the ordinary person who just wants to live a decent life. Those are the ones which are coming to our side. This is something you seem to try and pretend does not exist.

Sophistication is required in effective statesmanship.

-Agreed, But I don't think that will be done by cowtowing to a lie...have you ever read anything by Iranian Amir Taheri?

Amir Taheri: "Islam Is Incompatible With Democracy"
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1138942/posts

Here are some of his quotes:

"Muslims can build a democratic society provided they treat Islam as a matter of personal, private belief and not as a political ideology that seeks to monopolize the pubic space and regulate every aspect of individual and community life."
- Amir Taheri

"We should not allow the everything-is-equal-to-everything-else fashion of postmodernist multiculturalism and political correctness to prevent us from acknowledging differences and, yes, incompatibilities, in the name of a soggy consensus. - Amir Taheri

If we are all the same how can we have a dialogue of civilizations, unless we elevate cultural schizophrenia into an existential imperative?" - Amir Taheri

>'Sophistication is required in effective statesmanship."<

Agreed. But I believe it must be based on truth, not dishonest subterfuge.
