Whatever may or may not be going on "behind the scenes," what Americans see is that the man who engineered 911 and the man against whom justice is sought is still disseminating his anti-American message. What they see is how Homeland Security responded to a major domestic crisis last year.

If that's supposed to be some sort of defense of the Administration's current image, then that's pretty disappointing. We're talking about our country here, the United States of America. It's important to a lot of us out here. We think borders mean something to our integrity as a nation. You're not required to agree with all that, but you should at the least try to understand it. We wonder how it is that we find ourselves seriously debating about whether our President should try to defend our borders.
