Lou Dobbs, the nation's most prominent opponent of current immigration policy, began his day yesterday on the "Today" show on NBC, debating a Hispanic defender of illegal immigrants. He moved on to "American Morning" on CNN to denounce a bill passed by the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday as "an amnesty program."
On the CNN morning show Dobbs called the Senate bill "an unconscionable act" and "a sellout." He appeared again on CNN's midday "Live From..." program, saying, "I think illegal immigrants are a burden to the taxpayer, unequivocally."
This followed by just a day a confrontation between Mr. Dobbs and a guest on his own program, Janet Murguia, the president of the Hispanic civil rights group National Council of La Raza, during which he lectured her on immigration policy.

I'm shocked that Lou Dobbs would take such a position. He's a fervent liberal and Bush-Hater. I guess even a crazy liberal can have lapses of sanity every now and then.

Lou is the only light of sanity on CNN and hardly liberal. They fired him years ago mainly because of his non-liberal views only to have to eat crow and bring him back after two years of sinking ratings.
You may disagree with his views, but that does not make him a moron.
Dobbs is still getting his butt kicked by Neil Cavuto.
I'm convinced he decided to go all outsourcing and illegal immigration, all the time, as a way to save his dying show, two years ago.
He's just like the gold bugs, who know there's a gloom-and-doom element in the American population and they eat this stuff up.
I can't stand to watch Dobbs (and CNN for that matter) for more than 30 seconds at which point he starts on his predictable anti-Bush, anti-Republican diatribe.

He may be "conservative" by CNN standards but not by mine and many other conservatives. That's why he and CNN are getting their butts kicked by Fox.
