American hostage Jill Carroll, a freelance journalist released Thursday in Iraq after nearly three months in captivity, said she was "treated very well" while she was held.
"They never said they would hit me. They never threatened me in any way," she said in a TV interview after her release.
The interview was broadcast by Baghdad Television, a station owned by the Iraqi Islamic Party. It was conducted inside the headquarters of the Iraqi Islamic Party, a Sunni group.
Wearing glasses and a hijab scarf, she said, "They allowed me once to see TV. They also allowed me once to read the paper but it wasn't enough to know what's going on in the outside world."
Throughout her ordeal, she said, "I was allowed to move in a small space."
Carroll, 28, also said that she didn't know exactly where she was held, because the room she was in had a frosted window.
She surfaced after being dropped off near the Iraqi Islamic Party offices in Baghdad, The Associated Press reported. Carroll then walked inside, where people called U.S. officials, Iraqi police told AP.
Carroll said she didn't know how she regained her freedom. "They just came to me this morning and told me they will release me."

Wasn't this the one who was supposed to be executed if we didn't negotiate with terrorists?
I thought so.
BTW, if this has been posted, sorry. I couldn't find it.

Something seriously not right about this whole episode.
And the "They never said they would hit me. They never threatened me in any way" doesn't jibe either.
Didn't she say in a hostage video that unless Iraqi prisoners were released from jail that she would be killed. She said this while pleading and crying for help.
Now she says they didn't threaten her??
Either it's a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome, or she's a tool for the Islamists.

So Jill, when you got up to leave, as anyone being held against their will would do, how exactly did they prevent you from doing this? Did they just use extremely persuasive debating skills, hypnotism, mind control beams from Uranus (or theiranus)? What exactly?

Or she was speaking to Islamic TV in an Islamic Party HQ. Not the same as speaking from the safety of an American base.

On January 17, Qatar-based news network Al-Jazeera aired a silent 20-second video-tape that showed Carroll, and indicated that, in an accompanying message, an as-yet unidentified group was giving the United States 72 hours to release all female prisoners in Iraq. If that demand is not met, the group says it will kill Carroll.
Hmmm ...

I remember a pleading Caroll whining for her life and the cause of her captors.
This woman is guilty of being an accomplice to murder after the fact. Remember that her translator was murdered by her captors.
For this woman her captivity seems to be nothing more that a couple months at Club Jihad.

I hope there wasn't any quid pro quo so the terroriss will learn that the US really won't negotiate.
Negotiations simply put more of us at risk whenever we go anywhere in the world. Hard facts create hard policies but they are necessary.

I am glad that I am not the only on suspicious of this women. However, I can't get over the "fact" her translator was killed. Was this something in the plan that went wrong, or is the person really dead. Time magazine reported his death, but how reliable is this.... ANY Thoughts FR
To: LouAvul
Jill "Zaineb" (daughter of the Prophet) Carroll is a fraud. This was a faked kidnapping from the beginning, as a way to obtain private money.
Now she is "free" again to continue her writings about the atrocities committed by American troops. I wish she would have stayed "kidnapped".

As she expressed any concern for her driver who was killed?
