I go back & forth on the death penalty - sometimes I think people should have as much time as possible to repent, other times I just get tired of screwing around. This time I'm tired of screwing around.

String them both up.

In the Old Testament, the Hebrews were commanded to take those responsible for actions like this outside the city gates and stone them to death to "purge the evil from the land". Brutal way to go. Some have said that the rocks were not small ones but about the size of a 12-16 inch softball. You could probably hear the bones brake.

Yet, this was how God expected the Israelites to deal with evil in their land. This was accepted as "the punishment fitting the crime".

In our so-called "civilized" society, (where these people will probably do less than 10-15 years), I am amazed at how we have perverted justice in our land. We have gotten what we asked for. We do not HATE crime (SIN) enough to deal with it justly.

I say stone them.

People will more likely repent when facing certain death than a long time in prison.
