I disagree with that statement. They want us to forget but I don't think they have forgotten. I believe they place the blame on.... Bush of course.
I will modify my statement and say they don't want a repeat of a Daniel Pearl. The best way to do that is to portray yourself as a sypathetic observer to the terrorist/insurgent cause.
