The open borders issue is the iceberg which could strike the Titanic of the Republican party.

Republican elites are OK with moving factories to China, giving tech jobs away to Indians (H1B visas) and flooding the ranks of lower income workers with illegals (elites need cheap labor to mow the lawn).

The people who have up to now voted Republican are being severely impacted by all these policies.

As with the Dubai Ports issue, the elites don't get it.
