Well it was the goal all along of Vincente Fox, to infest the U.S. with as many illegals, courtesy of Washington, to be able to influence American foreign policy. He has, to a large degree, succeeded. Now we have anarchists, ILLEGAL anarchists in our streets, thanks to Washington's dysfunctional position on our borders. And now, what is Washington going to do about the problem they created? Most likely nothing of any material consequence if the proponents of illegal immigration get their way.

The destruction of America is a high price to pay for some votes -- but that is the Washington perspective. Political fear dominates the present debate agenda in Washington. Let's see if they are serious -- if they are they will CLOSE the border. Then figure out how to assimilate 12 million foreign criminals.

All sides of the debate are utterly clueless. We will have to physically stop them. No amount of tinkering with the laws and screwing around with the Federal Bureacracy is going to fix any of this.

Most Americans simply do not get what a cesspool most of the 3rd World is. A LOT of our illegals come from Africa, Central Asia and other places. It is our wealthy free society that brings them. No amount of tinkering around the edges or "removing the incentives" is going to stop them.

Both sides are too busy screaming slogans and chanting dogma to accept the reality there are NO quick easy answers. We should be doing the little things we can do right now. Increase the border patrol, streamline deportation laws. Require local govts to enforce immigration laws to get Fed $$$. This idea we can wave a magic wand, pass some laws and create a one size immedeate solution is just stupid.
