Afghanistan Constitution Article Seven Ch. 1, Art. 7

The state shall abide by the UN charter, international treaties, international conventions that Afghanistan has signed, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The state prevents all types of terrorist activities, production and consumption of intoxicants, production and smuggling of narcotics.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 18.

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

Thanks - walked right by it - Most UN stuff is garbage

So it appers that they avoided a Constitutional crisis by dealing with it the way they did - might have been a smart move - time will tell.
