Guess what?..They even write me back personally, not form letters.

Really! I wish mine would. Maybe my letters are too remote. Maybe I'll try a different style. I'm always polite, but it occurs to me that I'm also impersonal. Maybe I should try the Helene Hanff style. If you have any suggestions, I'd be glad to get them.

Get involved in state and local politics within you party, let them know who you are in the grassroots.

Be informed and knowledgeable about the issues you are writing them about, and when they do vote for your favored position write a short thank-you note.
