My father grew up in North East Minneapolis in the "Russian Quarter". This was back post-WWII. There are still quite a few Russian Orthodox churches in the area, but other ethnic groups have pretty much changed the demographics of the area.

Every immigrant group goes through the same levels of hatred and bigotry until they get themselves established in a community. The problem with our current crop of ILLEGALS is that they are criminals. By definition. Those who come here legally don't remain as isolated. Rewarding the criminals with an amnesty only cheapens what it means to come to America and BECOME an American. There can be no trying to negotiate this issue from a position of weakness by giving in to their demands. As with every other issue like this, if you cave in on it once, you will continue to do so for every subsequent demand.

I'm a Southern White male....everyone thinks we are hicks, bigots, klukkers, etc.

Folks who identity themselves by their victimhood make the same error homosexuals make in identifying themselves by their sexual perversions.

Ukrainians are fine by me....their women are nice looking but even at that it would be a problem just the same if we had absorbed 20-30 million of them over the last generation illegally....or otherwise frankly.

Immigration needs to be regulated, deliberate and tailored for our friends.

This open borders thing only popped back up again back in the late 60s.

I know of no nation anywhere that wishes to topple it's existing culture voluntarily....no nation worth a damn anyhow.

If Mexicans were not Amerindian, you wouldn't hear squat from the Left or Quislings here on this forum. That is their attraction.

I heard a conservative American Hispanic (his label) on the radio railing about racism being the issue.

Rare is a person conservative or otherwise who can resist placing racial, ethnic, or religious identity over ideology...very rare and this form has quite a few who don't resist yet they call Anglos resisting Mexification as racists yet they support open borders simply because we're talking about their latino brethren.

One man's heritage hero is another man's racist?

It's more than just the illegal nature of the problem....but it's cultural more than racial.....at least to me.
