THE AMERICAN FLAG COMES SECOND By Michelle Malkin · March 29, 2006 01:15 AM You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times or on the lead story of the major news networks. You should (hat tip: Mika and F/R):
03/28 : Student protest
Whittier area students from Pioneer, California and Whittier high schools walked out of classes to protest the proposed federal immigration bill March 27, 2006. The protestors put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside down at Montebello High. (Leo Jarzomb/Staff photo)

Like I said: Welcome to reconquista.
I predict this stunt will be the nail in the coffin of any guest-worker/amnesty plan on the table in Washington. The image of the American flag subsumed to another and turned upside down on American soil is already spreading on Internet forums and via e-mail.
The battle for borders and immigration laws that actually mean something, however, hasn't even begun.

The American flag upside-down is a signal of distress and a call for help. So where do we sign up to help send those mexican criminals home?
They think flying the flag upside down is in error here. However, it's truly a distress signal.
The think is that probably most of those students are American citizens. They wouldn't move to Mexico for any amount of money
Perhaps everyone should flood their senators' and representatives' email inboxes with this image. That would send a message that would be hard to ignore. Maybe someone could make this suggestion on some of the blogs if it hasn't already been discussed.
You're right. And there was a protest in a small town in our county yesterday and the thing the immigrants are worried about is that immigrants who are here legally will be shipped back to their native land.
That should scare African Americans, like Jesse Jackson. hey wait, maybe it's not such a bad idea...
Anyhow, the thing is, is that the media, IMO, has mislead the general public with their stories. Reuters is spinning headlines at every turn. They make it sound like ALL immigrants are being deported.
Anyone notice that these protests are happeneing at liberal infested public schools and not parochial ones.
Refute the big lie: Ask your lib friends, "Those illegals who are just passing through aside, why are there ten times more illegals living permanently in the Southwest? Are you telling me that there are ten times more jobs that 'Americans won't do' there, than in the rest of the U.S.?" The answer (or non-answer) at once gives proof to the lie.
That's probably true.
In Denver, my neighbor was a member of La Raza--listened to Santana & smoked pot, etc. etc.. He was really into "the cause" but I seriously doubt he'd give up his comfortable lifestyle.
Send the picture to your senators:

This will stink the guest worker program...
Found this from 2001. I didn't notice it at the time, in spite of the fact that I lived in LA at the time - probably because I was focused on 9/11. Anyways, the last few days are apparently just more of the same.
