RNC Memo Warns GOPers Not To Distance Themselves From Bush

Republican pollster Jan van Lohuizen, in a memo written for RNC chairman Ken Mehlman, warns that if members of Congress try to drive a wedge between themselves and Pres. Bush, it'd be akin to adding weight to an anchor. GOpers are "W Brand Republicans" whether they like it or not. And van Louhizen, who has polled (often secretly) for the Bush White House under the RNC aegis for years, is worried about low turnout.
Time Magazine first reported on the memo this weekend, but the full text is below.

Bush must kiss some more men to drive up his numbers. A Saudi Prince, Joe Lieberman, a Greek orthodox priest, a VA official...obviously that's not enough. The esteemed GW Bush must kiss more men. Jimmy Carter only kissed one (Breshnev) and looked what happened to his presidency.

But see, I go along with Bush on the border issue. So I'm still fine with John.

No Thanks, leave Hari Kari to the Japanese.
How about screw the Democrats, vote for better Republicans. We must vote in order to make a change for the better.
Congress has every ability to pass legislation to fix the illegal immigration problem but they won't because they're to busy worrying about the Spanish vote.
Deport them all, and begin proper immigration. The ones who come here properly will be grateful and the rest I don't give a damn about.

Bush screwed us BIG TIME on this immigrant deal No he didn't .. he didn't write the immigration bill
It's because of the knee jerk reactions fom voters that the Senate rushed to get an immigration bill
I sure wish folks would start thinking clear and see what is really going on
Some of you are playing right into the Dems hands ... and the Dems know it and are loving it

And it was conveniently leaked and splashed to all the papers that Bush wanted to see tha AWB die on the vine. Exactly how he planned it.

Go after the employers and we'll be paying 15 bucks for a head of lettuce. I'll go along with your idea after we eliminate minimum wage laws.

The very notion that we haven't been attacked since 9-11 speaks volumes against those who take your silly position regarding our borders. If that is true, then is it your opinion that Bill Clinton did a great job against Islamic terrorists, there not having been a terrorist attack here from March 1993 to September 2001?

I would agree about the only candidate that will fight the war on terror as strongly as Bush has...
But, I have to tell you that I hope you are WRONG that he is the only candidate that could beat the Democrats...JMO.
However, I do respect your opinion...and will wait and see, but McCain SURE isn't making any points on this Immigration Bill with Kennedy...(shudder)

Yeah, next thing you know somebody will be claiming that large quantities of drugs come across the border from Mexico. If you think bringing drugs across the border is anything like bringing WMDs or a dirty bomb (which was the premise of my post)....you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Nor is bringing drugs across the border the same as tracking individuals / profiled.
To: DevSix
A lot of Middle Eastern men can easily pass as Mexicans and walk right in . Actually , you can drive a tank across the border in may places and no one would know. you don't see that as a big problem?
To: Sam the Sham
did you expect anything less?

I don't think I need you that much at all. In fact, I can't wait to see all the red meat "Freepers" swallowing their pride to vote for McCain against Hillary. Maybe not you, but a whole heck of a lot of 'em.

If Bush can get the borders under control, which he said he would do, then we can talk about a worker program (not amnesty). that's the way it will shake out, I believe.More bushbot nonsense. The agenda of Jorge Arbusto is to merge the US into Latin America so his cheap labor business buddies can have an endless supply of serf labor. And keep American wages down by glutting the supply of labor. He has specific reasons for not wishing to control the border.
