THE IDEA STARTED ON THIS THREAD.
We are hearing that reports of employers using illegal aliens or instances of illegal aliens engaged in criminal activity, have been responded to quickly by the new agency. Please note that it is unlikely that ICE will take any action against an illegal alien that is not employed illegally or engaged in some other sort of illegal activity.
The TOLL FREE number to report ILLEGAL aliens or those employing ILLEGAL aliens to ICE is: 866-347-2423
How it works:
You are not required to provide your identity to ICE. All that is necessary to request an investigation by ICE is mere suspicion of any activity by ILLEGAL aliens.
ICE and the IRS are especially interested in "visiting" those businesses that employ ILLEGALS "off the books" to avoid the payment of payroll taxes.
Small and large businesses are equally notorious in the hiring of ILLEGAL aliens to avoid paying fair wages to its workers and to criminally evade the collection and payment of payroll taxes.
We are interested in getting current information regarding how helpful or unhelpful the new agency has been in taking your information and following up on your complaint, so please drop us an email to keep us current.

FReepers, here is a chance to make a difference in this battle. The only thing that will stop the invasion is stopping the employers who hire illegal aliens.
Please use this thread to give us reports of what you are doing. We need to develop a list of those businesses who can prove that they do not hire illegal aliens. If, for instance, you have spoken with someone at a certain restaurant and can determine that the restaurant does not hire illegal aliens, let us know about it. Those in the area need to partronize that restaurant. Positive publicity needs to be generated for them for being good Americans.
If you have evidence (perhaps including photos) of a business that is hiring illegals, report it to the number above and give us a report. Please do your homework on this. Make sure you get it right.
This may or may not have a significant impact, but we can't just sit here and watch our nation and culture being destroyed. If we can do this enough times around the country and make sure we get publicity, we have the potential to do something really important here.
Who is going to be first?
I am prepared to pay as much as it costs for my fruit and vegetables. I already cut my own grass and wash my own car and clean my own house. If we pay more in some areas, we will save tremendous amounts in other areas. And we will save our country and culture.
Oh, please. First, they are criminals. Hundreds of Americans have been killed by illegal aliens since September 11, 2001. Glenn Beck mentioned on his show today that illegals cost this country $55 BILLION per year. We could use that money elsewhere.""
Good Lord- IF the figure of 11 million illegal intruders is correct, that means that each and every one of these intruders costs the USA $5,000 apiece to be here. I DO NOT cost my local government $5,000 a year, I can assure you that. I also have paid into the system, as most of us do, with property taxes, sales taxes, and payroll taxes.
If there are anywhere near the number of illegal intruders here that I think there are- closer to 40 million, then the costs to USA is tremendous.
I wish someone would disclose how many illegal intruders are in and out of the judicial system. I know this would require some sort of "Profiling" but I don't care. I have heard that as many as one out of 8-based on overall estimates- are part of the criminal problems for your local sheriff and police departments. Surely we can use their time and taxpayer money in a better fashion.
Many feel the ACTUAL number of illegals is closer to 20 - 24 million...who can trust government statistics? I have to agree that an average figure of $5,000 per head sounds plausible; when you consider the taxes they avoid, the medical services they abuse, and the welfare/food stamps many of them collect. Like many other native and legal Americans; this gringo will be paying his share of that expense on April 15th. I have better things to do with the money (like food), but I have no say in the matter.
It doesn't work unless you challenge the business.

Ummmmm, I'm waiting for a report. I don't think this will work if I am the only one making calls. It is perhaps time to send a warning shot over the bow of a carwash.
Great thread. So far it is staying on track. That is important.
I suggest people looking around and see if they might spot a suspect. At work, at school, at a job sight, Micky D's, Store etc.
On the day of this scheduled march check to see if you can determine if someone took the day off. Then MAKE THE CALL
Doug you might want to expand on this idea on this thread.
I am going to point to your thread with this idea on several other threads.
I have a suspect list and am developing a confirmation plan. I don't think it would be wise to have ICE think any of us are "crying wolf". :) Easy Does It
Come on, folks, put the pressure on employers. Call nearby restaurants and car washes. Demand that they prove to you they do not hire illegals or they get no more of your money.
Here is part of the script.
1. Hello, my name is Doug (no, don't use Doug...use your own name) and I hope I am going to be able to remain a customer.
2. I have made a decision that I will not patronize a business that hires illegal aliens.
3. I hope you are going to be able to guarantee to me that you do not hire illegal aliens. How can you assure me? (they will give an answer)
4. Do you verify the Social Security number -- SS fraud line is 800.269.0271. What else do you do to make sure you are obeying the law?
5. If you discover you have hired an illegal alien, what will you do about it?
When you are done with a call, give us a report. I am working on the way to confront a business that I am absolutely sure is hiring illegals. I think I want to do something like give them a 30-day warning and then all hell is going to break loose on them.
Al Rantel is sitting in for O'Reilly today. Congressman Goode of Virginia told him that only four companies were punished by our government last year for hiring illegals. What the h*ll is going on!
Good news. Next week the largest paper in our area is going to interview me for this story. This is where is starts. We are going to see that the employers who are cheating are going to pay the price. We need to see that these types of stories are published all over the country. I've lived in this great land for 57 years and I am not going to watch it be stolen without a fight. This is Alamo II.
Thanks for joining us and for the input. I understand that you have been on the John and Ken Show as well as other shows. Have you seen yet that what you are doing is having some impact?
ATLANTA - The Home Depot Inc., the nation's largest home improvement store chain, is launching a partnership with four national Hispanic organizations to recruit more Spanish-speaking employees  a strategy that proponents say can help retailers find talented workers and boost sales at the same time.
Home Depot planned to launch the partnership formally on Tuesday in hopes it will find more job candidates, especially ones that speak both English and Spanish, for full-time and part-time positions.
Industry observers say the move  like the company's previous hiring partnerships with senior citizen and military groups  will help Atlanta-based Home Depot tap into a valuable customer niche. By 2008, the company says, Hispanics are expected to have roughly $1 trillion in annual purchasing power.
"Matching the profile of your associate work force with the profile of your targeted or existing customer is always been a practice that has helped retailers enhance the store experience," said Michael Brown, a retail specialist at consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates.
Home Depot rival Lowe's Companies Inc., based in Mooresville, N.C., has worked with employment agencies in several states to help diversify its work force of 160,000 people. It also has worked with the military to hire soldiers looking to go into the private sector.
While Lowe's has not implemented any formal national hiring partnerships with the Hispanic community, it has tried to boost the number of Hispanic employees at stores in communities that are predominantly Hispanic. The 1,075-store chain has done that at stores in parts of South Florida, Texas and California.
"There is certainly a business advantage to having a work force that reflects the community," Lowe's spokeswoman Chris Ahearn said.
Home Depot, with 1,890 stores and 325,000 employees, launched a hiring partnership in September with the departments of Defense, Labor and Veterans Affairs to recruit military job seekers. A year ago, it also announced a hiring partnership with the AARP to recruit seniors, then expanded that program in December when it said it would test a plan to mark retail products with a seal of approval for people 50 and over.
While the company would not release figures, it said those initiatives have helped its business efficiency and sales. The company said the move to recruit Hispanic employees seemed like a logical extension.
"Sales have increased substantially over the four years that we've really been at a lot of these things," said Dennis Donovan, Home Depot's executive vice president of human resources. "The performance information that we have is very positive. So, I don't think it's a big step to say there is some correlation here."
Besides boosting sales, the partnerships also help find talented workers.
"We know that effective leaders are the common denominator to our overall success," said Donovan. "We also know that talented associates are the customer service differentiator."
The company has not said how many seniors or Hispanics it planned to hire, nor would it release a breakdown by race or ethnicity of its current work force. As for the military partnership, it's projection for 2004 was to hire 15,000 military veterans.
In the latest Hispanic hiring initiative, Home Depot said interested candidates can complete an online application at any store, visit the company's Web site or go to one of the participating partner organization offices. The partners are the ASPIRA Association, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, National Council of La Raza and SER-Jobs for Progress National.
More companies are realizing it makes good business sense to reach out to the Hispanic community, said Alfonso Martinez, president of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility.
"The opportunity here is at three different levels, a talent level, a customer level and a brand level," Martinez said.

Lawsuit Challenges Austin's Sanctuary Status / Girl Murdered by illegal alien.

The family of murdered St. Edwards University freshman Virginia Garcia have filed suit against the city of Austin, claiming Austin's status as a so called 'sanctuary city' led to Garcia's murder, 1200 WOAI news reported today.

The 18 year old Garcia, who was known as Jenny, was stabbed to death insider her northwest Austin home, and police arrested an illegal alien, David Diaz Morales, 20, whom they said was 'infatuated' with Garcia. Morales was also charged with burglarizing Garcia's home.
Attorney Matt Burns said Austin's very controversial policy of prohibiting police and other local officials from referring cases to federal authorities for immigration law violations and deportation led to Garcia's murder, and is also in violation of federal law.
"The Austin police department has both informal and written procedures which actually prohibit police officers from cooperating with federal immigration authorities," Burns said.
Burns said the fact that Morales re-entered the United States after being deported, and the fact that he had previously been charged in the sexual assault of a child, would have qualified him for immediate deportation, meaning that he would not have been in Austin to murder Jenny Garcia, but that didn't happen because of Austin's 'sanctuary' law.
"He had been deported from this country once and re-entered, which is a felony offense," Burns said. "And prior to the murder of Ms. Garcia, Mr. Morales had also been arrested in the alleged sexual assault of a 12 year old."
Morales is held in the Travis County jail without bond on a capital murder charge.
There are more than a dozen so called 'sanctuary cities' across the United States, from Portland Oregon to Chicago to Houston. The Sanctuary City policy generally forbids local law enforcement officers from checking on, or reporting, a person's immigration status. Austin passed its sanctuary city law in 1997. Supporters say it fosters 'trust' between officials and immigrants, and say they're afraid that without such protections, illegals would be unwilling to report crimes and would become easy prey for criminals.
But Burns says Sanctuary City laws violate federal statute.
"Cities, counties, local governments are forbidden from prohibiting, or in any way restricting, their employees from communicating with federal immigration authorities," Burns said. "The city of Austin's policies are clearly in violation of that."
Congress has repeatedly rejected proposals to deny certain types of federal funding to Sanctuary Cities in an effort to get them to rethink their law
