Schwarzenegger: Amnesty is 'Anarchy'

The "first order of business” for the federal government in dealing with illegal immigration is to secure the nation’s borders, Arnold Schwarzenegger declares in an Op-Ed piece.

And the California governor says that granting amnesty to illegals is "anarchy.”

"We learned on 9/11 that not all those who cross our borders want to share in the American dream,” Schwarzenegger writes in the Los Angeles Times.

"A few want to replace it with a nightmare. If we don't know who is coming over our borders, we won't know what they might do. And in a post-Sept. 11 world, that is a risk we cannot take. Congress must strengthen our borders.”

Criminalizing immigrants for coming into the U.S. – as some have called for – is not an answer, according to the governor.

"Instead, I urge Congress to get tough on those illegal immigrants who are a danger to society. If an illegal immigrant commits a serious crime, he must leave the country — one strike and you're out. No excuses, no delays.”

Schwarzenegger also said the U.S. should pass "a common-sense temporary worker program so that every person in our nation is documented. We can embrace the immigrant without endorsing illegal immigration.

"Granting citizenship to people who are here illegally is not just amnesty … it's anarchy. We are a country of immigrants, yes. But we are also a nation of laws.”

Finally, he said, "We should assimilate immigrants into the mainstream. We want immigrants to not just live in America but to live as Americans.”

And the Rino Quislings tell us they'll become wonderful American citizens, if we only give them 6 year guest worker amnesty citizenship.

Everybody is juggling, in some fashion or another, how to handle the "amnesty" hot potato. So pay a $1,000 fine, learn English, and you will be forgiven your past sins?

I will be very surprised if there isn't, buried deep inside the "no one reads this far into the bill" section, a small, "fine-print" clause to the effect that those "who demonstrate via affirmation that theh payment of $1,000 would prove a hardship", will be offered an "equivalency" form of "payment", such as "one week of public service" -- of course, there will be NO mechanism of enforcement, nor will there be any penalty for "noncompliance" -- but, the fine print will be there, so that if someone does stumble across it, they'll be able to say, "Hey, look, they ARE required to perform public service or other alternative form of payment!" (And the fact that thanks to the lack of enforcement OR penalty, there will be NO "payment" of the "alternative".)

When it gets to the point that they're bending us over the barrel, I think it's a fairly safe bet that we can discount any promises about how they care about us.

And think about it. I mean, millions of illegals are gonna cough up a thousand bucks -- EACH???

No, I don't think so. I just don't see that happening. Nor do I see "our leaders" allowing them to be "penalized" for their "inability" to pay this "overly expensive sum that was regretably forced into the law."

Same goes for any requirement to "learn English", etc. Offering up "requirements", with NO penalty for NON-compliance is one of the oldest tricks in the book when forcing BS down the throats of the electorate.

What a farce.

Some so-called citizens in this country may want a horrific event to take place while a Republican is in the White House so the Dems can come in and clean up the mess, so to speak.

Am I being too paranoid? How many left-wing fundamentalists are willing to sacrifice American lives just so they can destroy or weaken the Republican party?

I regret that I voted for Arnold over Tom McClintock. He's nothing but another government hack. Pity.
