Funny how you 'realists' are always coming down on the liberal side and harshly criticizing conservatives.
I'd say you're 'real' alright...real liberals masquerading as something else entirely. Liberals trying to change the definition of conservatism.
We just got an excellent demonstration of the cluelessness of the Far Right here in Illinois where rather than pull out of the GOP primary and throwing his support to a conservative with a chance to beat Topinka the candidate of the Far Right remained in the race guaranteeing Topinka's victory. And now to show that he has no principle he comes out and ENDORSE Topinka.
Realists do not automatically come down on the far right just when they do stupid things like get hysterical over a Ports deal or Illegals. Realists just like conservatives like Reagan who understood that politics is not as straightforward as the ideologues pretend and that compromise is a fact of life.
It is so easy to beat the conservatives through divide and conquer it is not funny. The Left does it with ease.
