As Texas resident I have worked with, prayed with and helped out many 'illegals', over the years. I worked with them in HORRID and low paying jobs where the owners and supervisors treated them like dirt. They just kept working no matter how badly they were treated, they had no recourse. This goes on day after day in so many companies, it makes me sick. It is akin to slave labor. But as long as companies have this cheep slave labor, it keeps our wages down. And HECK no, I will not subject myself to THAT kind of treatment with no raises and very low wages. THAT'S what we American citizens don't or won't tolerate. I'm not a dog or a slave to be kicked around.

I do not dispute that...What I have always been trying to convey here is that many illegals are doing jobs that americans will not do.

IMO-The Mexicans that are already here working a stable job and have been in no trouble should be given amnesty...

When I go to the Farmer's Market in my area, the mexican growers that bring thier fruits and veggies to sell work hard and are so grateful for what they do sell and I hope they are given a fair shot to become legal citizens.
