The greater threat to our nation's security comes not from Dubai and its pro-Western government, but from Venezuela, where software engineers with links to the leftist, anti-American regime of Hugo Chávez are programming electronic voting machines that will soon power U.S. elections.

This is not going to end well and if the next election turn out well and if all Red states go blue next election, we now know how they cheated.

After the left has so incessantly screeched about the VRWC, Halliburton and everything eeevil being tied to voting machines, it will, of course, turn out to be the left who tampers with them.

It's the same old "accusation as confession" strangeness from the Dems. What ever they are yelling the loudest, most passionately about, you can bet your bottom dollar it's what they're doing.

I always liked paper ballots, myself.

Why is Hugo Chávez Involved With U.S. Voting Machines?

Because the global effort to destroy American sovereignty and devastate our domestic economy is gathering steam.

Clearly if the "free traders" in our government say Chinese communists are allowed to operate our ports, then they can say that Venezuelan communists can run our elections.

I find it interesting to observe how both the left and the right are both afraid of e-voting because they feel the other side will tamper with the results.

This begs the question, just who is tampering, if anyone?

Why are we using electronic voting machines ANYWAY?

Paper ballots and ink everybody's fingers.... and yes, by the way, present a photo ID at the time of registering AND voting, thank you very much.

Smartmatic International is a Dutch owned company. they sell voting machines to many countries and have offices located in many countries.

That Smartmatic -- which has been accused by Venezuela's opposition of helping Chávez rig elections in his favor -- now controls a major U.S. e-voting firm should give pause to anybody who thinks that replacing our antiquated butterfly ballots and hanging chads will restore Americans' faith in our electoral process.

I hope there are control protocols in place. Unfortunately, my hopes have been dashed many times before.

Don't we have our own programmers capable of doing this work?

Why, oh why is this even in the realm of possibility!?

Yet another good example of why voting electronic machines should be open source.

It appears that our government has lost all common sense, let alone its obligation to protect its' citizen's.

Th right to a clean election will be going down the drain, along with the invasion of immigrants under the new amnesty being prepaired by the Senate.

It is clear we will all be forced to town hall government to survive in our own beds.

Back to the basics, follow what our forefathers had to do from 1773 to 1776.
