I remember after her death, maybe a few weeks later, we had a thread on here stating that Michael filed for an insurance payments. Previously he had always claimed there was no policy to make a claim on.

Was this ever corroborated?

A few weeks after her death I took a leave from FR, so I missed the thread and any developments, but I can ask a few who might know the answer to that.

Ping to post 82.

If it was, I missed it.

Don't know about that one. BUT, we do know that two or three hours after Terri died, Michael and lawyer Deborah Bushnell raced to court to file papers claiming her estate. How Michael managed to conquer his racking grief long enough to ransack Terri's estate, I can't conceive. Could that have been the subject of the thread you heard?

Insurance did figure in the story early. IIRC, Terri received generous sick benefits from her employee health policy working for Prudential. Michael lived off her insurance for a year (I think it was) until the benefits ran out.
