Dont take Sen. Sam Brownback (R.-Kan.) seriously when he talks about running for President in 2008. Brownbacks vote today with Senate Democrats on an amnesty bill should put an end to any remote chance he had at the White House.
Brownback joined Republican Senators Arlen Specter (Pa.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and Mike DeWine (Ohio) to move a Teddy Kennedy-endorsed immigration reform bill through the Judiciary Committee. Im being generous by calling it reform.

He has made a permanent enemy out of me for certain. So has the smurphy Lindsey Graham. I watched his performance in the Judiciary Committee yesterday. I don't know what people were thinking when they elected that mental light weight to any office.

I can't believe the GOP senators went for a compromise on this issue.
I guess it's official now: We are, after all, a nation of men, not of laws.
Nothing good will come from this.

Graham and Brownback were toadies for The Toad Kennedy. Kyl & Sessions were great as was Cornyn when he was there.
Brownback carried water for the Dems all day. Disgusting.

If Ted Kennedy is in favor of ANYTHING, that is a strong endorsement for opposing whatever it is that is up for vote.
Make you a deal, Teddy. Allow the installation of wind-driven generators off the shore of Cape Cod, and when you have demonstrated your dedication to energy independence, then you may be considered for amnesty relating to certain events that took place on July 18, 1969, at a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island.
That is the only amnesty Teddy shold be talking about.

We should just open all prison doors and release every prisoner in this country. The only people in the USA that pay for breaking the law is citizens born here.
America is full of weak back A$$holes and most of them are in Congress or government.

Graham is McVain's "mini me" and lackey and overall stooge. I can't wait for him to come up for reelection. Unfortunately, I will have to wait until 2008.
Graham ran as a conservative before. I hope somebody--anybody--runs against him in the primary.

I don't know what people were thinking when they elected that mental light weight to any office. We were thinking, based on his record in SC and his campaign, that Mr. Graham was a Reagan conservative. Also, his involvement in the Clinton impeachment when Graham was in the House put him in good stead with the local conservatives.
He grew up near where I live and he had a good reputation in these parts.
However, it does appear that Graham will have a serious challenger in '08 from a businessman named Thomas Ravenel. Ravenel has called Graham "the third senator from New York." And based on Graham's evergrowing RINO status, I think this will stick.

Brownback: perfect on social issues, weak on immigration.
Other candidates: weak or bad on social issues, weak on immigration.
