For a Massachusetts liberal, yes, I agree.
My thinking is that the President, Dick Cheney, and Condi have decided that they need a much more muscular approach to the Democrats as they go into the midterms. Methinks we've seen the last of "rope-a-dope", thanks be to God.
That would be refreshing.
Expect McClellan to go next. Nobody's happy with him. The base wants a junkyard dog who will bitch slap the likes of David Gregory into singularity.
Yep.
I'd like to see an attractive Karen Hughes type replace McClellan, somebody that everybody likes to hear from and see.
Well, part of the problem was that Bush sent two of his best people, Condi and Karen Hughes, across town to Foggy Bottom. Since January of 2005, this White House has been at sea. For the first six months of 2005, while the jihadi were conducting a bombing campaign and our soldiers were being killed daily, Bush was out talking up Social Security Reform.
S.S. Reform is needed, but that's a postwar project. People were watching the kids fight on the nightly news and getting the DNC talking points. Bush wasn't fighting back. "Rope-a-dope" was part of this silly strategy.
As I've said a thousand times, Bill Clinton never let an attack on him go unanswered! Think what you will of Bubba, he knew how to fight. Bush is only now learning. The fact that Condi was out there citing the Saddam papers on the Timmy show tells me that the Administration is going to full battle mode.
Finally. But part of me thinks that Bush has allowed himself to be damaged irretrevably with too many people.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
