1) Build a wall - stop any further illegal immigration.
2) Any time an illegal immigrant is stopped by the police, or has any dealings with government officials and is found to be here illegally - send them back home.
Will it be acceptable? To most Americans, yes - to the illegal immigrants, no.

The very first thing we need to do is stop the flood of new illegals that are coming in every single day by the droves. We need to get a major fence/barrier up on the border ASAP. Then we can figure out how best to deal with the illegals already here. If we enforce the laws now on the books regarding employment many would return to Mexico on their own. We basically need to stop catering to them and give them no privledges in this country.
We would then, and only then need to determine if we needed workers from other countries and if so how many. If we need workers we can then set up a program to deal with LEGAL workers from other countries.

Wait until they get their legal status. They will then be allowed to bring in their relatives. So from 11 millions it can be about 50 million or more. Then who do you think the politicians will listen to. Sorry to say but I think were screwed. Learn Spanish(sarcasm)
