I agree with most of what you say. But not necessarily on the economic status of your more fanatical barbarians. UBL was/is not poor, for example.

On a lighter note, I have a Foxworthy-style test to help separate the barbarian Islamists from the simple everyday spiritually misguided Muslims:

-If seeing other people live happy and free gives you an irresistible urge to blow them and yourself to smithereens ... you might just be a barbarian.

-If your specific flavor of religion measures its popularity by the number of folks who choose membership over death ... you might just be a barbarian.

-If your only contributions to the world of fashion are the full-body pillow case for women and the suicide vest with matching shoe-bombs for men ... you might just be a barbarian.

-If you include hearing about comic strips published in faraway lands as one of your justifications for murder and mayhem ... you might just be a barbarian.

-If you can do a headcount of the Christians you've met by looking down at your feet ... you might just be a barbarian.

-If you believe that even a desert nerd like you can score with the chicks (virgins no less) as long as you commit the biggest crime against humanity that you are capabale of committing whilst killing yourself ... you might just be a barbarian (not to mention a gullible fool!)

No Muslim Gulag? Ask some Christians living in Muslim countries. Ask some Muslim women. Ask Muslim activists that have criticism or questions about Islam. No Muslim Aushwitz? Yeah right, ever heard of a country by the name of Sudan? They're trying hard to make that a better islamic place by exterminating every Christian they can find. And there are many more places on that list.

In my view Islam is a much worse oppressive system than the Soviet Union or the Third Reich because the perps claim to have a Divine mission to force the entire world into submission "for their own good". How twisted is that!?
