The majority of Iraqis overall view the recent parliamentary elections as valid, are optimistic that their country is going in the right direction and feel that the overthrow of Saddam Hussein has been worth the costs.
Sunnis, on the other hand...
The poll was conducted for WorldPublicOpinion.org by the Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) at the University of Maryland and was fielded by KA Research Limited...
Among the Shia and Kurds optimism is even higher.
Seventy-six percent of Kurds and 84% of Shia say they think the country is headed in the right direction.
the ethnic divisions are very sharp.
Ninety-eight percent of Shia and 91% of Kurds say the hardships were worth it, while 83% of Sunnis say they were not.

Yes, he is. Why can't you follow current events?
let's see some of that then!!!?.... I keep up with current events quite a bit, maybe I don't spend all day at FR knocking everyone else's posts like some other people here, but it is a blog isn't it? and I'm a freeper/lurker mostly and I'm entitled to type soemthing and post it, whether you like or not! so like I accidently typed to myself earlier... "zzz" yourself! :) lol get a grip!
Since you spend so much time here reading and lurking, I obviously don't need to show you how often the President and his Administration refute his critics. I mean, since you're so well read and all (not to mention emotionally grounded).
So the Sunnis are something like the Democrats here?
My goodness... Someone forgot their medication this morning. Since I didn't forget mine, I'll forgive your crappy attitude... If you know it all, then lets here some of this famous refutiation against all these critics, because I have not seen much... and if the Pres. is doing such a great job of fighting back, then why is his poll numbers at 39 or so percent? Cause he aint fighting back...and the sheepole alwasy follow what they here the most...
great news.
thanks for posting
Okay and I'll admit, my typing is spelling wrong what my mind is thinking.. so please forgive the spelling errors.
Nope.
In comparison with the Shiites, the Sunnis are the bad guys. They're more fundamentalist than the Shiites. And since they're in the minority, this can be considered good news. But the polarization of the two sides doesn't bode well for national unity.
it's not?
We've already covered your ignorance of current events. And your "crappy attitude" barb is equally as effective as your "get a grip" comment. :-D
Hi Coop. I meant to also ping you on my post #32 :)
You tell everyone here of my ognorance of curretn events. You have yet to say anything substantive about this thread other cut me down... got anything worth talking about other than my ignorance? or is that a cover up?
