Face it, the Republicans are scared to death of this issue, the last time republicans stood up on the illegal alien issue it turned California into a democratic state, which it has remained ever since.
If they play this wrong, Texas could turn democratic (which would doom the Republicans for a generation or more), I hardly recognize Texas anymore, Mexicans are taking over.
California was always a Democrat state ~ sometimes punctuated with a Republican win here or there.
What a load of rubbish. The 1986 amnesty did that, 1996 being the first year the amnestees were permitted to vote. So go ahead and pass another amnesty or two, then you'll have to find something to blame for the fact that the whole country will be permanently the possession of the left wing of the Democrat Party.
