"The senators could have easily pointed to the mayhem that the illegals caused as evidence that the situation has become dangerous."

Yes, they could have. But they were to busy saying these honest, hard working types, just wanted to come out of the shadows. Yep, a very timid lot they are.

Tancredo Reacts to Judiciary Committee, Immigration Rallies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO), Chairman of the 94-member House Immigration Reform Caucus, issued the following statement today on immigration matters:

“The immigration rallies over this weekend and today show how disordered our immigration system has become. For years, the government has turned a blind eye to illegal aliens who break into this country. It isn’t any wonder that illegal aliens now act as if they are entitled to the rights and privileges of citizenship.

“The McCain-Kennedy-Specter bill that came out of the Judiciary Committee today provides nearly universal amnesty for the more than 12 million illegal aliens in the U.S. The bill also adds hundreds of thousands of foreign workers to a background check system that is already on the brink of collapse. The Judiciary Committee even adopted Durbin’s amendment, which reduces penalties so that visa overstays will continue to undermine our immigration system.

“If the Senate follows the Judiciary Committee’s lead, the prospects of getting a reform bill to the President’s desk this year are slim, to say the least. No plan with amnesty and a massive increase in foreign workers will pass the House. Amnesty and foreign workers are fundamentally incompatible with the House’s approach and, according to every recent poll, they are not what Americans want. Americans want enforcement first, and disagreement over foreign workers should not prevent us from securing our borders.”

How are they energized? Will they be holding similar demonstrations?

Demonstrations are just...ok. Look at how ineffective the antiwar demonstrations were in 2003 and 2004. In the days of Walter Cronkite, demonstrations had a lot of sway but not so much anymore.

Onyx: Aren't you staying at home or voting democrat or third party?

JeffA: Why do you continue to lie?

What in the hell are you talking about? A question is not an assertion of fact, it is an interrogatory seeking a factual response.

Those screaming mobs got press coverage, on all the major networks, what did you get? 'your email has been received, this does not mean it was read by the intending party'

This sudden show of cajones just might throw Frisk back into the picture for the coming elections.

I believe he is one of the few candidates who is in the majority camp.

the best one was the guy with a tattooed forehead..

He was carrying a Mexican flag and I swear he had the word "PIMP" in Old German letters tattooed on his forehead.
I sat there kinda stunned for a second, not really believing what I was seeing...
I mean, who in the h3ll tattoes their forehead, let alone tattoing PIMP on their forehead.

I turned to Sarah and said "Honey, Does he have 'PIMP' tattooed on his forehead?"

She wasn't sure either, and then they moved to another picture..

We just laughed and went to eat ribs and have a beer.

I guess we should be comforted with the thought that the "PIMP" is handling our nation's immigration policy....
I mean, he obviously thinks things out longterm....

And most of the Republicans will pay for it either losing their job or power after the midterm elections. The 2006 were already very tight but with these demonstrations, the Republicans that gave defacto support to these mobs will be unseated. Those that aren't up in 2006 will lose their power as the GOP will no longer be the majority in the Senate.

The republican senators can prevent all of this by acting like conservatives.

Nice, you post a press statement. That'll really fix the problem.

What in the hell are you talking about? A question is not an assertion of fact, it is an interrogatory seeking a factual response.

It was an inference . You're an adult (I assume) and you should know the difference.

The question had already been asked and addressed several times yet it was inferred over and over again. Want me to point out specific posts?

Bless the House members, I hope Tom is right. Our Senators have made me so mad today, I could just spit. But our House GOP members, conversely, have made me very proud.

Madame, these deceptions must stop, now!

Why can't you tell the simple truth?

Can't you see we recognize your every "LOL!" and "ROTFLMAO" is a falsehood built on a misdirection founded on a lie?

What in the hell are you talking about? A question is not an assertion of fact, it is an interrogatory seeking a factual response.

If the same question has been asked several times and a "factual response" has been given to each time the same question, then would you consider the questioner to be a liar or an idiot?
