I just spoke to my local LAPD Watch Commander and he didn't have too much to say but he gave me the Chief's number to call tomorrow.
I said the police were right there when the kids took over the Harbor Freeway and they did nothing to get them off the freeway: Why? He did not have an answer. Nada. Just something about it not being his jurisdiction.
I said , Well I want you to listen to me for a minute. As a civilian and a citizen, when I see this anarchy in the streets, this protest against this country, I am concerned about my safety and I am outraged at the disrespect of this nation.
Well, ma'am, you can call the Chief tomorrow. I said, Fine, I will, but can you acknowledge my concerns? Yes, ma'am.
Pathetic, huh? The safety of the public is no longer their business. Well, I guess it is my business, and I will have to take care of it.
I heard the KFI in the afternoon...A reporter was at the press conference attended by LAPD Chief Bratton, Sheriff Baca, and the Mayor V. Chief Bratton announced that LAPD is issuing truancy tickets to students who leave school to "protest". He said that LAPD issued about 100 truancy tickets in San Pedro area today. I was glad to hear that.
A truancy ticket requires the truant minor and his/her parent to show up at the Juvenile Court. Ticket also costs at least $100. I think that most illegal alien parents of those "protesters" don't appreciate how important their children's education is. But, those parents will be really angry at their children for making them miss a day of work and pay $100 fine...
