CNN reporting...More details later.
Oh #$%.
It would have been better to wait for the details.
There's more posted about the 12 - 7 vote "on other threads" than you have posted here.
Race to be first to post?
No, I wanted to post a thread so people could post updates in one therad specifically about this.
thank you for posting this, SC33.
You are welcome.
Apparently it was a 12-7 vote. 4 Republicans voted for it: McCain,Graham,DeWine(I believe), and Brownback.
I'll be waiting to see who needs to be shown the door. (aside from illegals that is)
Let me guess, a new guest worker program and no border enforcement.
Poll - halfway down:
What should be done with illegal immigrants?
They should be rounded up and deported
They should become part of a guest worker program

Turn on Lou Dobbs. He has alot on this.
Oh that makes me feel even better. /s
sonofa%$#@%, don't that just beat all.
Im OK with Mexican guest workers if it works this way.
Allow employers, to hire Mexican workers , but only in Mexico. The employer will be responsible to transport the Mexican workers to the job site, board them, and then return them to Mexico, where they will be paid. Each request for Mexican workers should be reviewed to assure that no American workers are available prior to approving a request for temporary guest workers. Im sure I wont like whatever the spineless Senate comes up with.
McCain/Kennedy will not make it through the House, they can pass it all they want, amnesty is DOA.
I love how no middle ground is provided, so being opposed to a guest worker program means you have to be a meanie and want to put all those hard-working illegals into cattle cars like Nazi Germany.
Here is a middle path. Keep 'em illegal. Secure the border. Crack down on employers hiring illegals. Eliminate education and benefits for illegals.
And then offer anyone who wants it a bus ride back over the border - with meals.
Wonder how much the guest worker support would drop if that were an option? But it's the goal of the guest worker boosters to make deportation an impossible proposition as to increase support for a guest worker program.
Brownback too..
and to think, I went door-to-door handing out leaflets for him..
Our Young Republican group here at K State busted @ss for him..
I feel like such a dupe...
done
Time to really support Sensenbrenner.
