Did you hear the Q/A session during the Senators' lunch period? Someone called in about the CFR plan (I think) and the Orange County lady said she'd never heard of it and went to the next caller... I missed the whole question but heard something about biometrics and merging countries.

La E - sorry I'm usurping your thread with all these C-Span questions. Don't know where else to ask :)

Usurp away, LOL! You're bumping it!

Did not hear the Q&A. I made calls today also to repeal CFR and vote for H.R. 1606.

Others on FR have made reference to CFR having to do with coming "North American Union." (i.e., One Happy Hemisphere.)

I didn't hear the question session...but if she is talking about the Council on Foreign Relations, instead of Campaign Finance Reform, that has the same acronym...

From what I have read...there is some "plan" in that group that favors having the USA, Mexico, and Canada MERGING into one hugh country with the borders between them totally open...

BUT, the caveat would be that the three countries would THEN join forces to guard the countries coastal areas from attack by China....

IOW...they feel that China is the big threat with a whole lot more people in their army...and so they want to pool resources...and have the ONLY place that would be "open to attack" would be one the contiguous coastlines on both Oceans...

If that is NOT what the caller was referring to...just ignore what I just wrote...and I don't know what she meant.
